Episode 2: Moving Beyond Treatment

In this episode we are joined by a panel of adolescent and young adult cancer survivors who have a meaningful conversation about returning to daily routines.

Topics Include:

  • What are some challenges you faced as you transitioned back to school or work after your cancer treatment?
  • How do you envision balancing (How have you balanced) your health needs with the demands of your daily routine post-treatment?
  • Did you experience or encounter stigma regarding your ability to work post diagnosis?
  • In what ways have things changed for you since your cancer diagnosis? Did you have a new-found career, hobby or passion?
  • Going back to work after cancer can be challenging. You may be consumed with constant thoughts of what ifs: What if I can’t physically do the work anymore? What if my colleagues don’t view me the same? What if I am treated unfairly? What have you found that works to overcome those thoughts and challenges?
  • What advice would you give to other young adult cancer patients who are considering returning to school, work or finding a new passion project post-treatment?
